Swami Purnatmananda has taken over the charge of Dhaka Branch of the twin organization Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission on 27 January 2019. As the Head of the Ramakrishna Movement, Bangladesh Chapter He also assumed the Chair of Ramakrishna -Vivekananda Bhavaprasar Samsad, Bangladesh, the organization to guide the all affiliated and non-affiliated centers of the Order in Bangladesh.Click for Recent Program Photos
Started in 1899 by the devotees and affiliated to Belur Math, West Bengal in 1916, Ramakrishna Mission, Dhaka as a pioneer centre in Bangladesh, has been engaged in different fields of work - humanitarian, educational, socio-cultural, relief & rehabilitation and medical services since its inception to serve the cause of the humanity. All its activities are open to all irrespective of caste, creed and nationality. Besides, throughout the last years it has been conducting discourses, seminars, various cultural programs, to nourish the human faculties and facility to strengthen intellectual level of man and so forth. On the other hand its another wing, Ramakrishna Math, Dhaka has been engaged in performing religious programs and various spiritual disciplines so as to help grow the spirituality of its monks, devotees, and other aspirants. Here the emphasis has been given more to lead a life of sacrifice and spirituality through worship, prayer, meditations, selfless work etc.
